My Personal Ranking of All Movies Released in 2001…
So I keep getting messages that say: “Scott, your top ten list for the year is all well and good, but what about people like me, who are more interested in paying to see the eleventh through twentieth best films of the year?” Okay, I’ve never actually received a message like that, but sometimes I just like to find out how gullible you people really are. Anyway, in the interest of completeness, I have decided to rank all the films I have seen which were released in 2001. As always, I will continue to revise this list until I finally stop seeing movies that were released in 2001. Needless to say, movies I have not yet seen are not included in the ranking.
Note: I included the film Memento in my 2000 Top Ten List, since my understanding is that it had its first screening in that year, even though I further understand that it somehow qualifies for the 2001 Academy Awards.
