Quasi-exclusive photos of the wedding of the summer!

Danagher’s Hotel Quiet Man Coffee Shop
Ashford Castle is located next to the village of Cong, County Mayo, Ireland, where the classic John Wayne/Maureen O’Hara movie The Quiet Man was filmed a half-century ago. As you can see, the village still draws tourists via its association with the movie.

Ashford Castle main entrance
A black car gets past the strict security at the main entrance to Ashford Castle.
Who is in the car? Is it a famous and glamorous Hollywood star? Or merely the caterer
for the wedding reception?

Ashford Castle secondary entrance
Curious tourists are turned away by the crack security team at a side entrance
to the grounds of fabulous Ashford Castle.

Ballinrobe golf course
This photo was taken on a road passing a golf course near Ballinrobe, a few miles
in either direction from Ballintubber Abbey and Ashford Castle. Could this be Pierce
himself, unwinding with a few rounds of golf before his wedding?

7-Up bottle
The only confirmed Pierce Brosnan sighting the day of the wedding
was at the SuperValu in Ballinrobe.

Sunday Times
Those of us who weren’t invited to Pierce Brosnan’s wedding had
to make do with a front page article and photo in the Irish edition
of London’s Sunday Times—or any number of English or Irish tabloids.
(It’s not what you think. That’s the best man with Pierce in the photo.)

Hello front “Hello
Pierce’s wedding was a profitable event all around. Hello! magazine made it worth his while from the front cover to the back cover.
